About Amber
Hi, I’m Amber Tejeda, an IBCLC, NICU nurse, and mom of 3 passionate about helping families feel confident feeding their babies.
With over 10 years of nursing experience caring for medically complex infants and supporting families in the NICU, I’ve seen firsthand that feeding challenges can feel overwhelming — especially when you’re exhausted, worried, or receiving conflicting advice.
My goal is to provide evidence-based, judgment-free lactation support that actually meets you where you are. Whether you’re navigating painful feeds, low supply, pumping, bottle refusal, premature birth, NICU transitions, or simply wondering if what you’re experiencing is normal, you don’t have to figure it out alone.
I believe feeding support should feel practical, compassionate, and realistic for your family — not one-size-fits-all.
At Living Proof Lactation, I combine clinical expertise with real-life understanding to help families create feeding plans that feel sustainable and supportive, while building confidence every step of the way.
I’m honored to walk alongside families during such an important season and would love to support you on your feeding journey.
Specialized Support for NICU Transitions
Bringing your baby home from the NICU can feel exciting, overwhelming, and honestly a little scary. As a NICU nurse and IBCLC, I understand the unique feeding challenges premature and medically complex babies face.
Whether you're navigating triple feeding, pumping schedules, bottle transitions, weight gain concerns, breastfeeding after discharge, or simply rebuilding confidence, I provide practical, compassionate support designed for real life after the NICU.
What is an IBCLC?
An International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) is a board-certified lactation expert who provides evidence-based, judgment-free breastfeeding and feeding support. IBCLCs are clinical specialists dedicated to helping families navigate the complexities of feeding their babies with compassion and expertise.
You're in the right place if you have experienced any of the following:
- Trouble latching or painful feeds
- Low milk supply or oversupply
- Pumping support and bottle refusal
- Premature baby or NICU stay
- Slow weight gain concerns
- Returning to work and balancing feeding
- Wondering "is this normal?"
